Workplace Health and Safety Policy

It is important for the employees to be provided with a safe and healthy work environment, especially since workplace health and safety violations can cause harm to them, cost the business money and damage reputation. In Workplace Health and Safety policy, in order to be proactive, the Company specifies what the management and the employees should do in case of office emergencies or how to handle unsafe materials. Moreover, in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, the Company has created a safe workplace and protect workers from occupational hazards.

Purpose of Workplace Health and Safety policy

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and visitors at all Universal Financial Associates Inc (“the Company”) locations and covers all activities undertaken in the course of our business.

Company´s obligations
Compliance with Laws and Regulations: The Company will comply with all applicable health and safety laws, regulations, and standards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
Health and Safety Programs: We will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs that address the specific needs and risks of our operations. These programs will be reviewed and updated regularly.
Training and Education: All employees will receive appropriate health and safety training to perform their jobs safely. This includes initial orientation, job-specific training, and ongoing education to keep up with best practices and regulatory changes. All employees are expected to report any hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
Incident Reporting and Investigation: All incidents, including near-misses, must be reported promptly. We will conduct thorough investigations to determine the root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Emergency Preparedness: Universal Financial Associates Inc will develop and maintain emergency response plans to ensure a swift and effective response to any emergencies. Regular drills will be conducted to ensure preparedness.
Employee Participation: The Company encourages active participation from all employees in health and safety programs. This includes reporting hazards, participating in safety committees, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our safety practices.
Health and Wellness: The Company will promote the health and well-being of employees through initiatives that support physical and mental health, including wellness programs and resources for stress management.

Implementation

Management: Managers and supervisors are responsible for enforcing this policy, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and fostering a culture of safety within their teams.
Employees: Every employee is responsible for following safety procedures, using personal protective equipment as required, and reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.

Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect any changes in regulations or company practices. Employees are encouraged to provide feedback to ensure the policy remains effective and relevant.
